Rescue Story

Sage arrived at Sunny Bear Rescue as a scared young black lab alongside three siblings after being found wandering as strays. Everything around her was unfamiliar at first, and she spent her first few days quietly watching the world from a safe corner while she tried to understand that she was finally somewhere kind.

Little by little, Sage began to open up. A soft bed, steady meals, gentle voices, and patient care helped her realize she no longer had to worry about surviving on her own. Once her confidence started growing, her true personality came bursting through. She became playful, goofy, endlessly loyal, and always ready to stay close to the people she trusted most.

Labs have a way of making themselves part of the family almost instantly, and Sage was no exception. Before long, she found an active forever home where she could run, play, and finally enjoy the carefree life every dog deserves.
