Rescue Story

The Cookie Crew came to Sunny Bear Rescue at only two weeks old after a very rough start to life. They arrived without their mother and needed around-the-clock care, bottle feeding, warmth, and a lot of hope.

Two of the six puppies, including Cookie Monster, needed emergency surgery almost immediately. We lost two puppies the very first night, and our hearts were already shattered. Milano fought so hard to stay, and Cookie Monster did too, but in the end he decided he missed some of his siblings too much and crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with them.

Today, Cookie Monster proudly watches over us from our memorial fence, and this coffee was created in his honor. We like to imagine him curled up beside a summer bonfire, soaking up the warmth, sneaking marshmallows, and being exactly the puppy he deserved the chance to become.

We love you and miss you every single day, Cookie Monster.
