Remington came to Sunny Bear Rescue after spending years in a puppy mill where life had been small, repetitive, and painfully lonely. Human affection was unfamiliar to him, and when he first arrived, even the simplest acts of kindness seemed confusing.
At first, Remington moved cautiously through the house, quietly watching everything around him while trying to figure out if this new life was actually safe. Loud noises startled him, sudden movements made him nervous, and accepting affection took time.
But little by little, things began to change.
One day he discovered soft blankets. Then treats. Then naps on the couch. And somewhere along the way, Remington realized he no longer had to survive — he could finally just live.
Watching him slowly open up felt a lot like the careful aging process behind this coffee. Nothing rushed. Nothing forced. Just patience, time, and the chance for something truly special to emerge.
Today Remington is living the peaceful, love-filled life he always deserved with a family who treasures the gentle soul behind those once uncertain eyes.

I recently tried the Whiskey Barrel Aged Remington ground coffee from Sunny Bear Rescue Coffee Co., and it quickly became one of my favorite morning brews. As a drip coffee, it produces an exceptionally smooth cup with a rich aroma and subtle whiskey barrel character that adds depth without overwhelming the coffee itself.
What impressed me most was how balanced it tasted. The barrel-aging process contributes a unique complexity, but the coffee remains easy to drink and approachable. I found that agave sweetener pairs especially well with it, complementing the coffee’s natural flavors and enhancing its smooth finish without masking the character of the roast.

Man is this a great coffee. I would call this an adult coffee (alcohol is not needed) to really enjoy the flavors. The sophistication and blend I feel would take time to appreciate. 100% recommended
